Flash Memory

Flash memory is long-term solid state data storage that is used in place of a hard drive. Flash memory does not have any moving parts, which makes it much more reliable than traditional magnetic storage. Flash memory is entirely solid state, which makes it capable of operating with vibration and gravitational forces that would destroy any hard drive.

Flash components come in a number of different formats. ImageStream supports ATA type flash memory that can be used with standard 40 or 44 pin IDE controllers, as well as removable media for CompactFlash and PCMCIA applications.

ImageStream has secured extremely competitive pricing on a wide range of flash components for high-volume product manufacturing. We also have the experience to work directly with manufacturers to produce flash memory that meets exact dimensional specifications. Although most applications can use off-the-shelf designs, it is good to know that you won't hit a wall if your product requires a unique flash storage package.

ImageStream stocks a number of standard flash components that can be integrated into a complete manufactured solution. In addition, ImageStream can act as your flash memory supplier with a significant volume of ready-to-ship modules.
