ImageStream's passive ethernet taps are designed to work with most protocol analyzers, intrusion detection systems, remote monitoring products, and network surveillance solutions. ImageStream offers high-density ethernet taps described on the high-density ethernet taps page, optical ethernet taps described on the optical taps page, and the modular UTP ethernet taps described below.
For the most common ethernet monitoring applications, ImageStream offers 10/100 tap modules including a single line tap, a quad line tap, and a 4 x 1 regeneration tap. ImageStream also offers a single line UTP gigabit ethernet tap. These tap modules can be mounted in ImageStream's 3-tap or 12-tap rackmount frames, and they can be installed in stand alone applications without a rack.
ImageStream's UTP ethernet taps provide redundant power inputs that support power failover with no data loss. The taps support automatic network pass-through when all power is removed, and they provide power pass-through connectors that allow each AC-DC adapter to power up to 3 taps using the optional power pass-through cables.
Each UTP ethernet tap includes one AC-DC power adapter that accepts universal AC voltage via the U.S.-style ungrounded plug. International power standards are supported by using a plug adapter (not included) with the included AC-DC adapter, or by specifying the required AC mains and plug style when ordering. At least two AC-DC power adapters are required for redundant power operation.
