ImageStream Ships New ATM DS3/E3 and OC3 Cards for Linux
ImageStream Internet Solutions is shipping its new 1000 series ATM network adapters for Linux. The new low-cost ATM adapters include DS3/E3 and OC3 cards in the PCI and PMC formats. The new cards are designed to work as components in a wide range of products including routers, servers, and test equipment.
ImageStream's new 1000 series ATM adapters are 32-bit PCI 2.1 compliant cards that feature advanced ATM segmentation and reassembly to optimize PCI bus performance with small packets. The PCI and PMC format cards include the 1001-DE which is a dual function DS3/E3 card, and the 1001-O3M and 1001-O3S which are OC3 cards for multimode and single mode applications.
When installed in an ImageStream router, the new 1000 series represents the industry's lowest cost ATM DS3/E3 and OC3 routing solution. The new 1000 series also makes it easy for manufacturers to quickly implement ATM DS3, E3, and OC3 connectivity in Linux-based products.
